The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department held its drawing for the Benefit for Chad Waltman on March 15. Waltman is battling leukemia and will have a bone marrow transplant in the near future. The sheriff’s department would like to thank everyone in the community for being so generous. The outpouring of giving to this benefit was a blessing.
The winners of the drawing were Kelly Avery, who won a Glock firearm; Ernest Murphy, winner of a Smith and Wesson Shield firearm; Ben Guest, winner of a Char Broil gas grill; and Kenneth Romans, winner of a Stihl chainsaw.
The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department would like to thank the local merchants for their generous donations for the drawing to help raise money: C&P Printing, Diamond Pawn and Gun, Biddy Saw Works and Lowe’s.
