The Columbus Arts Council is winding down their first series of Beginning Oil Painting with instructor, Emmie Sherertz. Sherertz stated, “We started the classes with three primary colors: red, blue and yellow. The students mixed their own paints they wished to use in their paintings. I did have to give them brown and white on the second or third day, though. They learned about the masters and each student chose artwork to copy. They have provided a wide array of style from Rococo and Baroque to Modern. Everyone has been amazing.”
The classes filled up quickly, so the CAC is offering another session beginning Tuesday and Thursday, June 20th and 22nd, and finishing up Tuesday and Thursday, June 27th and 29th. The classes are offered for ages 21 year old and up and students are encouraged to BYOW (Bring Your Own Wine). Cost of the course is $95 for all four sessions which includes supplies. Registration deadline is Friday, June 16, 2017. The Columbus Arts Council is located in the Rosenzweig Arts Center at 501 Main Street in downtown Columbus.
