Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics agents and other law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant May 26 at an Ocean Springs residence and uncovered a major spice lab, according to Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics Director John Dowdy.
MBN agents arrested 35-year-old Chau Ngoc Duong, of 4001 Belle Terre Court. Duong has been charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, Director Dowdy said.
Agents seized two kilos of synthetic cannabinoid along with a large number of items often associated with illegal drug distribution, such as baggies and an electronic money counter, Director Dowdy said.
The suspect was transported to Jackson County Adult Detention Facility, booked and held pending an initial court appearance.
Duong’s arrest stems from a month-long investigation by the MBN, with assistance from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
