The instructors and students of Best’s Academy of Martial Arts in Columbus competed in the Region 6 World Tang Soo Do Association Tournament held in Huntsville, Alabama on September 9, 2017. Each team member performed well at the tournament. Those who competed include Johnathan Best, Chelsea Best, Jacob Berryhill and Sabrina Taylor. Chelsea Best competed in Sparring and Forms, coming in 2nd Place in Sparring. Johnathan Best placed 2nd in Forms and 2nd in Weapons and 3rd in Sparring. Sabrina Taylor won 1st in Sparring and 3rd in both Weapons and Empty Handed Forms. Jacob Berryhill won 3rd in Sparring. Several hundred competitors from Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana and Tennessee attended the event. Best’s Academy of Martial Arts is located in Columbus at 454 Wilkins Wise Road. Effective October 1st new hours of operation will be Tuesdays and Thursdays with Kids Class at 5:30 p.m. and Adults Class at 6:30 p.m. For more information contact Johnathan Best at bestacademy@gmail.com.
