A 24-year-old Lowndes County man is charged with burglary after he is found inside a home where he didn’t belong.
According to a Lowndes County Sheriff’s press release, Derek Anthony Gray, of 1116 Ridge Road, was arrested just before 7 p.m. Monday after a third party reported a burglary in progress at 158 Bethlehem Road.
When deputies arrived, they noticed some things that appeared to be out of place. They entered the residence and found Gray inside, according to the press release.
The residence is the same one where Lowndes County Narcotics agents arrested two people three weeks ago on drug charges as well as child endangerment charges.
In an unrelated case, 38-year-old Jamee Sue Ray was charged with burglary Wednesday afternoon after a former boyfriend told deputies she’d broken into his home on North Frontage Road and taken several items.
She was later found at a Columbus business trying to get a loan, according to deputies.
