Sheriff Mike Arledge would not confirm whether investigators had charged anyone yet, how many people might be involved or their sexes. But he did say, “We’re pretty surre we didn’t and don’t have any viable threat.”
“We’re all going to get our heads together here soon and sort out what all we do have,” Arledge said, referring to the FBI and MBI, which have agents in Lowndes County to help out with the investigation and to provide additional security.
“We’ve been talking to a bunch of witnesses, a bunch of people,” the sheriff said when asked whether the suspect was male or female.
“We’re moving along pretty well,” added Arledge.
Sources have told The Packet a female has been charged, but that’s not been confirmed.
