The Columbus Police Department is asking for help to identify two suspects involved in an armed robbery at the Princess Theatre early August 1, 2018.
Two still photos that were taken by downtown CCTV cameras have been released Monday morning by Columbus Police, according to Police Chief Fred Shelton.
“We believe three persons were involved and we are releasing two of the suspects’ photos today,” Shelton said early Monday morning. “We are releasing these pictures to ask the public to help us identify these persons.”
Shelton said the suspects approached the Princess Theatre walking North on Fifth Street near 12:20 a.m. Wednesday, August 1. He said one of the suspects in question is a black male wearing a baby blue team jersey of some type. “We believe this is a jersey from some type of professional team,” Shelton said. “It appears to be a light baby blue with possible stripes on it. It could be a basketball jersey. He also has a bandanna over his face, black pants with a wide white strip on each leg of the pants and white tennis shoes. The jersey has a name and number on the back in white letters.”
Shelton said the second suspect is dressed in all black with a bright orange or red bandanna over his face and white tennis shoes.
No one was hurt in the armed robbery and police ask for information to be called to Crimestoppers at 800-530-7151.
