A Crawford man has been arrested for allegedly firing multiple shots into a house.

According to a press release from the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office, shortly before 11 a.m. on Nov. 27 deputies responded to a shots fired call on Sugar Hill Road in Crawford. The front window was broken, and there was evidence that at least two shots had hit the home.

Witnesses alleged that Jamie Quartez Hubbard, 22, of 71 Malone Street, had gotten into an altercation during a family member’s birthday party. Hubbard went outside and got a gun. When occupants tried to keep him from coming inside, he broke out a window and began firing shots inside. Four adults and two children were inside, but none were injured.

Hubbard was arrested on Nov. 28 following a search of his home. He was found hiding under a bed.

He was charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling. Bond has not yet been set.
