With the potential of a winter storm system hitting the Golden Triangle area tonight and tomorrow, 4-County Electric Power Association has implemented its Emergency Response Plan and is ready to respond if significant accumulations of snow, sleet and ice hit the area.

This morning, 4-County crews were making extra preparations to prepare, organizing equipment and putting the final touches on planning for the potential event. Being prepared and planning ahead are critical components in weathering the storm, according to 4-County Manager of Operations Anthony Miller. “We’re ready,” Miller said this morning. “Our crews are trained and equipped to handle this type of event. We don’t expect there to be any significant interruptions of power, but we’re prepared in case there are,” he added.

4-County officials are encouraging members to keep the cooperative’s outage reporting number on hand, 1-800-431-1544.
