A Disaster Town Hall Meeting will be held on Monday, March 11, 2019, at the Columbus Municipal Complex.
The meeting is being held by Columbus Mayor Robert Smith and Lowndes Supervisor Leroy Brooks. The purpose of the meeting is to brief citizens affected by the recent tornado and flood. Current activities being performed by the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency, volunteer groups and the role of the Lowndes County Emergency Management Office will be discussed. Several officials will be on hand for the event, and a question and answer session will also be held. The address of the meeting is 1501 Main Street. The event begins at 6 p.m.
