Ethel Taylor Stewart was sworn in as the councilwoman for Ward 1 Wednesday evening at the Municipal Complex. Her husband, Johnnie, held the Bible during the ceremony. Stewart will serve out the remainder of the late Gene Taylor’s term; Taylor was her brother.
