Lowndes Sheriff Looking for Missing Crawford Man

The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to find a missing Crawford man. Shawn Bankston was reported missing on Nov. 26. He reportedly walked to his mother’s residence in Crawford from Chicago, but left on Nov. 26 and has not been seen or heard from since. He is a black male with short, rowed dreads, and weighs about 165 pounds. His mother told investigators that he did not have a phone or means of transportation. Columbus Police are asking for a suspect in a Dec. 19 2019 manslaughter case to turn himself in after police issued a warrant Monday morning. A 37-year-old Columbus truck driver wanted in Clay County for burglary and attempted rape is snagged at a California truck inspection station. Maurice Sentell Reliford was caught at the Donner Pass inspection station on Oct. 21 when California inspectors found his license wasn’t in order and his name came up as being wanted in Clay County.
