MCSO Continues Storm Cleanup In Monroe County
Special to the Packet
MCSO would like to give a HUGE shout out to the MS Dept. of Corrections, Commissioner Burl Cane, Dep Commissioner Blevins, Lt. Short, Commander Stockett, and others not mentioned, as well as the working inmates at the Noxubee County State Satellite facility who have served our county since the tornado struck.
MDOC Officers and a crew of about 10 inmates from Noxubee County have been with us since the first week of the Disaster (approximately 40 days) serving throughout the county and in the city of Amory in whatever capacity the day and place called for.
On top of this, MDOC provided guards for our 40 plus inmates from our Work Center, allowing them to be in multiple places working and cleaning up debris as well as serving at the distribution centers.
